Seagate Recovery Services Advantage Program Overview

The Seagate Recovery Services Advantage Program encompasses three policy / service elements:

1. 1Seagate also honors all manufacturers’ warranties by replacing the media with comparable Seagate media.
2. 2 All Seagate Recovery Services customers who choose to use Priority Service will have their recovered data returned to them on a free Seagate USB external disc hard drive covered by a new 2-year warranty.
3. 3Should Seagate Recovery Services void a non-Seagate and / or non-Maxtor product warranty, Seagate Recovery Services will replace the competitive drive with an equivalent Seagate drive free of charge. The Seagate drive will be covered by a new 2-year warranty.

• Priority Service customers will have their recovered data returned to them on a Seagate USB external disc hard drive. The Seagate disc drive (either new or refurbished) will be accompanied by a new 2-year product warranty. This offer is ongoing and applies to recovery cases for all brands and all formats of storage media.
• Data recovered from removable media will be returned on a Seagate Pocket Drive.

If Seagate Recovery Services works on a Non-Seagate / Non-Maxtor disc drive and by doing so, voids the drive’s existing warranty, Seagate Recovery Services will provide an equivalent Seagate disc drive to the customer free of charge. The Seagate disc drive (either new or refurbished) will be accompanied by a new 2-year product warranty. This offer is ongoing and applies to Economy, Priority and Critical Response customers.

• Applies to all successful and unsuccessful recovery cases for which a customer has approved a recovery quote.
• This offer does not apply to Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) products.
• Should a competitive drive’s warranty be voided during the evaluation process and the customer does not approve their quote Seagate Recovery Services will not replace the drive.*
• Should a competitive drive’s warranty be voided during the evaluation process and the data is considered non-recoverable (a write-off), Seagate Recovery Services will not replace the drive.*
• Applies to all competitive desktop and laptop drives covered by optional extended warranties. *

* Note that customers will have been advised that their drive’s warranties may be voided during the evaluation process. This information is provided on the Evaluation Request Form.

There are no customer fees over and above standard service charges to be eligible for the program’s benefits.
